8.1 THE +DRIVE SOUND LIBRARY AND THE SOUND POOL

The +Drive sound library can hold up to 2048 sounds (256 sounds in each bank A-H) that are available to all projects.

Sounds can be loaded to a pattern from either the +Drive sound library or the Sound pool of the active project. The difference between the two is that the +Drive sound library has the capacity of 2048 sounds, available to all projects, while the Sound pool is a part of a project and limited to 128 sounds. The primary benefit of sounds loaded to the Sound pool is the possibility for them to be sound locked. This feature is not available for the sounds in the +Drive sound library. 8.1.1 ADDING SOUNDS TO THE SOUND POOL

You must first add sounds to the Sound pool to be able to perform sound locks.

  1. Press [FUNC] + [SONG MODE] to open the SOUND menu.
  2. Select SOUND MANAGER, and then press [YES].
  3. Select the sounds you want to add to the Sound pool by highlighting them and pressing [YES].
  4. Press [RIGHT] to open the SOUND OPERATIONS menu.
  5. Select COPY TO ... and then press [YES].
  6. Select SOUND POOL, and then press [YES].
